National Account Controller - Impulse Field based contract; 1-2 days London office Our Client Our client is a dynamic, growth-focused food business with a clear vision and strong leadership team. With continued investment and ambition in the Impulse and Convenience channel, they are now seeking a National Account Controller to lead this strategically important area of the business. The role As National Account Controller, you will be instrumental in driving growth and elevating the company’s position within the Impulse and Convenience sector. You’ll be responsible for: Leading & Inspiring: Managing and developing a high-performing team of three National Account Managers, supported by cross-functional colleagues, to achieve strategic partnership status with key customers (Co-op/NISA, Spar, and others). Building Relationships: Strengthening key customer partnerships through collaborative planning, commercial alignment, and outstanding execution. Shaping Strategy: Defining and delivering the channel strategy to unlock new commercial opportunities and accelerate category growth. Ideal candidate: You will bring the commercial acumen, leadership, and channel expertise to make an immediate and lasting impact. Specifically, you will have: Deep knowledge and experience within the Impulse/Convenience retail channel A proven track record of developing and implementing winning channel strategies and trading terms Strong leadership and people management capability, ideally with experience leading NAMs and influencing cross-functional or third-party teams Excellent negotiation, category, and promotional planning skills A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving results in fast-paced, competitive environments Additional information: Field-based role with national travel; office based in London with 1-2 days expectations Competitive package: c£75k + car allowance, 15% bonus, healthcare, strong pension + benefits An exceptional opportunity to shape the future of a high-growth channel…Apply now to find out more.
