Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant: Land Contamination AA Environmental Limited is a successful and innovative environmental consultancy based in Oxfordshire. We are seeking a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant with at least 5 years’ experience in the land contamination and ground investigation sector. You should have field-based experience project managing ground investigations/remediation projects, soil/rock logging and the collection of soil and water samples in accordance with quality control procedures. We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to work directly with the senior management within the Land Contamination and Remediation Team to assist with the project management, planning and implementation/supervision of ground investigations and remediation schemes for projects within the construction, waste and development sector. This role includes field work, supervising and managing ground investigations, report writing of key supporting documents; including, Factual Reports, Preliminary and Generic Quantitative Risk Assessments and Remediation Strategies, and communicating with Clients and Regulators. The role is based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire but the candidate will be expected to travel to sites, as necessary. You must be able to demonstrate relevant project experience in the sector, good quality report writing and project management skills. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual seeking to progress their career in the land contamination and remediation sector. You must be diligent and able to organise yourself to be on time, delivering work and projects to set timelines. As part of a Client friendly Company, you will be positive, professional and build rapport with Clients. The successful candidate will be supported by AAe and trained to perform the role. We invest in the continuing development of our staff and their role progression. Salary and Benefits · Full time role; · Competitive salary, annual leave and Pension Scheme; · Based from Abingdon Office, with flexibility for remote and hybrid working (by agreement); · Company will cover membership of a relevant professional body; · Regular internal and external training; · Use of company vehicles for site visits; and · Expenses and mileage claimable for site visit work. Key requirements · Be degree-qualified in either Geology, Hydrogeology, or a pertinent environmental science · At least 5 years experience in the ground investigation and land contamination/ remediation sector; · Experience supervising ground investigations and soil logging/sampling; · A ‘can do’ attitude and good work ethic/communication; · Existing member of a relevant professional body and evidence of CPD; · Able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team; · CSCS card holder (preferable); and · Clean UK/EU driving licence. The successful candidate will be required to travel to site and consequently must be a UK qualified driver.
