The VacancyRSK Group Ltd’s Geosciences division, one of the UK’s largest environmental consultancies, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Geo-Environmental Consultant to join its growing team in Derby. This is a full-time, permanent position. Working alongside an experienced team you will engage with a wide range of development projects.ResponsibilitiesProvide environmental advice regarding surface water management and environmental incidents on a wide range of projects primarily in the East Midlands.Prepare environmental management plans, including Pollution Prevention and Surface Water Management Plans for construction sites.Audit construction sites for compliance with Surface Water Management Plans.Advise clients on meeting UK regulatory requirements for Surface Water Management and associated permits/exemptions.Liaise with regulators including the Environment Agency and National Resources Wales.Respond to and manage environmental incidents such as fuel/oil spillage, silt discharges, and effluent discharges.Provide advice and on‑site training to clients on ecology, contamination and waste management issues.Produce quotations and tenders for new projects.Manage clients and projects.Person specificationMinimum of 2 to 10 years of experience in the environmental sector.Ability to deliver projects and work within a multi‑disciplinary consultancy.Confidence in working closely with clients and regulators.Track record of managing time and resources effectively and within budget.Full UK driving licence.Salary and benefitsCommensurate with experience.Contributory Pension Scheme.Training by senior team members to enable technical and managerial progression.Significant support and encouragement to gain chartered status.A flexible benefits programme, including the option to buy additional holidays.We encourage Continuing Professional Development and are committed to supporting candidates with chartership.#Recruitment #Environmental #rskfamilyAbout UsWe are a market‑leading site investigation, contaminated land and geotechnical consultancy with geophysics and survey teams and waste management consultants, operating from 20 UK locations.
