APW Property: Head of Marketing  

 

We are seeking a competent Head of Marketing to lead our organization’s marketing efforts. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to strengthen our market presence and help the company find a distinctive “voice” that will make a significant impact. 

The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketing professional with a passion for the job, capable of employing innovative marketing techniques. You should be a skilled strategist who can inspire creativity and enthusiasm in others. 

The ultimate goal is to increase the company’s market share and maximize revenues to stay ahead of competitors. 

 

Responsibilities  

  • Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of the company’s business activities. 
  • Supervise the marketing department, providing guidance and feedback to team members. 
  • Develop and organize ideas for events or activities. 
  • Plan and execute traditional and digital campaigns for corporate promotion and the launch of new business offerings. 
  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop promotional plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments. 
  • Monitor progress and submit performance reports. 
  • Produce valuable content for the company’s online presence, and publications. 
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on trends and competitor activities. 
  • Manage budgets and allocate resources across projects. 
  • Create and manage pricing strategies: Use market research and competitor analysis to set and adjust pricing that maximises revenue and aligns with business goals. 
  • Act as the organization’s representative to external parties, including media, stakeholders, and potential clients, while building strategic partnerships. 

Requirements  

  • Proven experience as a Marketing Director or Head of Marketing. 
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills. 
  • Strong analytical and creative thinking abilities. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current and online marketing techniques and best practices. 
  • Proficient in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, WebTrends) and Google AdWords. 
  • Customer-oriented approach with strong aptitude. 
  • Professional chartered marketer (CIM) certification is a plus. 
  • BSc/BA in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 

Additional Information  

You will be working for an established property investment company with headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role may require international travel to other office locations, including Dubai, Mauritius, Thailand, and Australia. Possessing a UK or EU passport would be an advantage. 

Experience in property marketing or financial marketing would be highly desirable. Additionally, experience working in start-ups would be a significant plus, as it demonstrates an ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments, adapt quickly to change, and bring innovative, outside-the-box thinking to established organizations.
