Apparel Product Developer - International Brand

Our client, a forward-thinking and entrepreneurially driven company, is seeking a talented Apparel Product Developer to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Designers, internal teams, and suppliers to develop and coordinate assigned collections, including global projects.
  • Manage the entire development process, from tech pack handover to production shipment.
  • Act as the primary liaison with factories to ensure clear communication and smooth workflows.
  • Support fit sessions for inline collections, SMUs, and special projects as needed.
  • Coordinate and monitor development, approval, and communication of all fabric, trimming, and accessory suppliers.
  • Provide detailed instructions to factories to ensure timely and accurate sample production.
  • Prepare and maintain all work documents, including tech packs, measurement charts, and fitting comments.
  • Review and negotiate costs to meet target FOB prices and profit margins.
  • Manage the critical path from prototypes to bulk production, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Send PP/shipment samples to buyers for approval or reference.
  • Collaborate with Buyers and Garment Technologists to address comments and ensure alignment on orders.
  • Occasionally attend buyer meetings to provide expert insights and updates.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Textile, Fashion, or Clothing-related disciplines.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in the garment/sportswear industry, with a focus on UK sportswear or streetwear markets.
  • Proven expertise in working with stretch fabrics and seamless construction.
  • Familiarity with 3D virtual product development is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of apparel components, product development, and costing.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized with a team-first mentality.
