Software Asset Manager

We are working on behalf of a leading health and life insurer to find a Software Asset Management Specialist or Analyst for a newly created role within their team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for building and developing processes in SAM, particularly with experience in managing complex software licensing environments.
The SAM Specialist will focus on managing software assets for a major vendor, working within a team to build the SAM process from the ground up. This role will give you the opportunity to work with multiple major vendors, such as IBM, Oracle, VMware, and Microsoft , and to collaborate with both onshore and offshore teams. You'll be expected to bring a strategic mindset to the role and help shape the software asset management function.
Lead the development and implementation of SAM processes for a key vendor.
Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements.
Collaborate with external partners, including a project manager and data analysts, as well as offshore teams.
Manage software licensing positions in data centre environments.
Proven experience with major vendors such as IBM, Oracle, VMware, and Microsoft.
Understanding of data centre complexities related to software asset management.
You will be joining a collaborative team that includes outsourced resources such as a project manager and data analysts, working closely with them to achieve the organisation's SAM goals. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a process and contribute to its long-term success.
