We are working with a law firm in Belfast who are recruiting a criminal solicitor to join their team.
The role will involve attending court and police stations when required and providing informed legal advice to the firm's clients. Instructing and liaising legal counsel throughout the lifespan of the case;
Conduct legal research specific to each case;
Take detailed legal notes of meetings with clients and counsel;
Taking statements from witnesses relevant to the claim;
Drafting legal documents;
Working with the wider legal team to train and mentor junior solicitors and paralegals.

Qualified Solicitor (ideally in the range of 1 – 5 years PQE in criminal law, although the company can be flexible);
Previous experience of dealing with criminal law and/or immigration law cases;
Excellent communication skills and experience in building strong client relationships;
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to problem solve;
