Involve Recruitment are in search for a Quantity Surveyor for our client a civil engineering, building works, design and build, building refurbishment and maintenance works construction outfit. Duties of this role will require general responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor carrying out detailed Groundworks take offs as well as an ability to perform physical measurements. Ideal candidate will have 5 - 10 years experience in said position. Company offers a competitive salary and a company pension and once past probation candidate will also receive a car allowance and private healthcare. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments
  • Analyse and evaluate contractor bids and proposals
  • Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budget
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions
  • Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Perform quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify quantitiews
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (not essential)
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of cost control principles and techniques
  • Proficient in using cost estimation software and tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the successful completion of construction projects. Your expertise in cost control will ensure that projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality standards. You will work closely with project teams to provide accurate cost estimates, monitor expenses, and identify potential cost-saving opportunities. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will contribute to the overall success of the projects.
