Job Title: Sheltered Housing Services Manager

Payrate: £300/day PAYE (umbrella options available)

Temporary - 3 to 6 months initially with opportunity for extension or permanency

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Sheltered Service Manager to join our Neighbourhood Services team. This crucial role involves overseeing sheltered housing services for nearly 1,000 tenancies across 22 schemes, ensuring a safe, secure, and supportive environment for residents aged 60 and older.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead sheltered housing services, focusing on resident engagement, compassion, community pride, and financial efficiency.

- Foster a performance-driven culture to deliver high-quality services and significant improvements.

- Manage budgets, ordering, and invoices to ensure value for money.

- Develop frameworks to reduce isolation and loneliness among residents.

- Facilitate effective resident engagement mechanisms.

- Act as a strategic and operational link with internal and external services.

- Identify skill gaps and implement training programmes.

- Collaborate with Adult Social Care and partners for a cohesive service for older people.

- Lead and support the Sheltered Housing Forum.

- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and welfare policies and procedures.

Selection Criteria:

Qualifications:

- Degree level education or equivalent experience in housing or social care.

- Commitment to continuous professional development.

- Housing or Social Care qualification is a plus.

Knowledge & Experience:

- In-depth knowledge of housing legislation and regulatory frameworks.

- Experience improving sheltered housing or similar services for older people.

- Strategic management, business planning, and budget management skills.

- Proven ability to develop partnerships and effective working relationships.

- Experience in staff training and development.

- Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety legislation.

- Excellent communication skills and a person-centred approach.
