Job Description
What we can offer you - Your Role:
In this diverse role of high impact within our matrix organization we are hiring an energised, inclusive and forward thinking Plant Manager to join our team in our Label and Graphics business ( graphics.averydennison.com / label.averydennison.com ) in Cramlington, U.K. with direct reporting line to our Operations Director.
Your Mission:
- On a daily basis, you will take on the responsibility of overseeing our 230+ people-plant performance in order to meet business objectives as well as our customers’ expectations and to drive continuous improvement and optimization of all our operational processes including our Industry 4.0/Manufacturing for Future initiatives.
- You will be accountable for all aspects of our plant activities managing your plant leadership team (5 direct reports), and you will ensure that objectives are attained in a cost-effective, sustainable manner that is compliant to our high safety, environmental, quality, and productivity requirements .
- As a continuous journey you will be capable of quickly identifying critical opportunities and situations , and of possessing well-tested strategies for driving a decision to a close by leading a kaizen/lean culture.

Qualifications
What we expect from you - Your Expertise:
- Previous work experience of 8+ years from a plant operations, managerial position , ideally in more than one function (manufacturing, logistics, supply chain) within a process manufacturing environment
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills combined with passion for safety / Industry 4.0 / continuous improvement / sustainability / diversity, equity, and inclusion , and strong communication skills and ability in being an inspirational coach and empowering your team
- Skilled in leading multi-site, multi-functional or business project initiatives while having a Lean Manufacturing background (preferably Green Belt / Black Belt)
- Creativity, excitement, and innovation, entrepreneurial spirit for growing a sustainable business to set your career at Avery Dennison
