Job Description Reporting to the Senior Systems Engineer and the Head of Operations, you'll contribute to analysing, unravelling, and extracting data from a Sage X3 environment, ensuring it's clean, structured and ready for migration into NetSuite, as a key part of a major financial systems transformation project. Please note this is a one-year fixed-term role, open to dedicated contractors, freelancers or full-time employees seeking a new project. Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include Analyse and document the current state of a highly customised Sage X3 implementation, focusing on finance modules, to reverse-engineer complex customisations and understand data flows. Develop and execute data extraction strategies for both standard and customised financial data from Sage X3 into SQL Server, ensuring its validation and readiness for NetSuite migration. Collaborate with the Finance, IT, and Systems teams to ensure technical solutions meet business needs by translating financial requirements into technical and data extraction specifications. Design and optimise SQL queries to interrogate databases and surface required financial datasets. Modify and optimise Crystal Reports, focusing on improving accuracy, performance, and output reliability by reducing complexity. Contribute to data mapping documentation between Sage X3 and NetSuite. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, including extraction errors, Crystal Reports discrepancies, SQL query performance, and incorrect or incomplete data relationships. Conduct root-cause analysis for data anomalies, and participate in data reconciliation activities during test cycles and cutover.. Qualifications Over 4 years of hands-on experience with Sage X3, including scripts, objects, processes, data dictionaries, and data import/export mechanisms. Proficiency in SQL Server, T-SQL, and querying for data extraction and transformation. Experience designing, modifying, and troubleshooting Crystal Reports. Past or current involvement in at least one ERP migration or data transformation project. Knowledge of financial data structures and familiarity with accounting principles. You're good at adapting strategies and plans to navigate unforeseen circumstances.
