Solution Architect – Cloud Expertise with Azure & AWS

About the Role

As a Solution Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of cloud architectures that align with business goals while ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency. You’ll work across diverse teams and stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions that leverage emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and Design Cloud Solutions : Develop end-to-end solutions on Azure and AWS , focusing on scalability, security, and cost optimisation.
  • Cloud Strategy and Governance : Create cloud strategies and architecture frameworks that meet industry standards and company policies.
  • Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Environments : Design solutions that integrate seamlessly with on-premises and multi-cloud setups.
  • Cloud Migration : Lead large-scale migration projects, including planning and execution for applications and data.
  • Solution Development : Collaborate with development teams to design cloud-native applications optimised for performance and maintainability.
  • Security and Compliance : Implement robust security controls to comply with standards like IAM , GDS , DPR , and HIPAA .
  • Cost Optimisation : Monitor and optimise cloud spending to ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Collaboration : Act as a technical bridge between stakeholders, developers, and infrastructure teams.

What You’ll Bring

Experience

  • 5+ years as a Solution Architect or Cloud Architect , with expertise in Azure and AWS .
  • Proven experience in designing hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale cloud migrations and DevOps practices .

Technical Skills

  • Deep knowledge of Azure and AWS services, such as Azure Functions , AWS Lambda , AKS , EKS , and IAM .
  • Proficiency in cloud-native architectures , microservices , and serverless frameworks .
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform , CloudFormation , and ARM templates .
  • Strong understanding of networking , security , and data storage in cloud environments.
  • Expertise in automation tools like Ansible , Jenkins , and Docker .

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a focus on scalable solutions.
  • Strong communication skills to simplify technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, balancing business and technical perspectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert .
  • Experience in DevSecOps and cloud security best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and containerisation technologies like Kubernetes and Docker .
