JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Prosthetic / Orthotic Technician who has experience in the manufacture, align, service and repair prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices.

Working as the Prosthetic / Orthotic Technician you will work as part of the technical team within the multi-disciplinary service in the Manchester Clinic.

As the Prosthetic / Orthotic Technician you will be working alongside Prosthetists and Physiotherapists to ensure a holistic provision of rehabilitation. The successful candidate will be part of a team of six Manchester based technicians.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Prosthetic / Orthotic Technician include:

  • Manufacture, align, service and repair prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices
  • Consistently achieve quality standards and meet Patient appointment deadlines
  • Understand the principles of alignment and openly discuss with clinical team members
  • Liaise with patients, so good communication skills are required
  • Record and update production records within our SAP business system
  • Work alone and alongside a multi-disciplinary team
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous technical experience in prosthetics or orthotic manufacture
  • A strong understanding of health and safety within a workshop environment and ability to work with Information technology is also required
  • A dynamic and proactive approach to self-development, with a keen desire to learn and expand your manufacturing skills is essential
