Opcare have been providing the orthoticservices in Manchester since 2014. This role is an excellent opportunity to have a keyinfluence within the service.

The service includes a purpose-builtfacility in Sharston, South Manchester. The facility consists of a consultantled MDT team, prosthetics and wheelchair services. There is a complex mix of patientsand extended practice clinics which provides a great opportunity to be exposedto interesting and varied caseloads.

There is an on-site workshop withskilled staff providing a collaborative working approach to device design andmanufacture.

Main duties of the job

We are currently seeking an experienced Orthotist who is looking for anopportunity to develop their career and be a part of our large and dynamic teamin the North West.

The role will involve working with a complex clinical case load, it willpresent exciting opportunities to develop clinical skillsets. The role will beinstrumental in working with the orthotic team, consisting of clinicians, andwider NHS MDT to advance and improve the delivery of the service.

There are a wide variety of patients and extended practice clinicsincluding, but not limited to:

In and out-patient clinics for neurologicalconditions

Paediatrics

Scoliosis bracing

Diabetic foot

Foot and ankle

Theatre casts and removal
