The Role
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will grow and manage your own territory by having ownership and being accountable for driving new business to achieve growth targets.
Using a consultative sales approach, you will be able to demonstrate return on investment through value led conversations, providing service solutions and analysing your own performance using your own initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and account manage your own sales territory.
- Build a strong pipeline and target new business opportunities.
- Maintain appropriate records on clients and sales activities.
- Contacting customers on a regular basis, providing quotes and ensuring that enquiries and issues are followed up in a timely manner.
- Promote value added services and solutions.
Your skills
- You have at least 2 years of experience as an Account Manager in a B2B environment – experience with PPE, Fasteners & Tools would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
- You can present solid and measurable results from previous jobs, and you have good negotiation skills.
- You have a persuasive personality, and you can build long term relationships with new and existing customers
- You have a knowledge of MS Office & Outlook and you are used to working in a structured manner using a CRM system to identify/follow-up on customers in your area.
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities and qualifications. The Account Manager may be required to perform additional tasks as needed to support the sales department.
