Our multidisciplinary team combines patent attorneys, litigators and commercial IP lawyers in three of the world’s main patent markets – Germany, UK and USA, and now also in the Nordics through our recent expansion into Sweden. The approach to progress is highly meritocratic, with patent attorneys at all levels receiving support through a sophisticated training program. Since 2018 EIP has been a five-time winner of European and UK Patent Contentious Firm of the Year by leading IP magazine, Managing IP while The Financial Times lists EIP as a leading European patent law firm, recently awarding EIP the highest possible ranking (gold stars across all six technology areas). About EIP Digital
EIP Digital encompasses a broad technology spectrum including computer hardware, software and machine learning/AI, electronics, wireless and telecommunications, applied physics and optics. Strength in these fields has been at the core of EIP and our continued success since we were founded in 2000.
Renowned for its experience in patent drafting and strategic patent prosecution, and a go-to practice for litigation in high-tech patent cases, EIP’s Digital team has been engaged in many of the highest profile patent litigation cases in the UK and Germany, and oppositions at the EPO, in recent years.
EIP Digital team members are appointed to many high-value matters which require extraordinary levels of expertise, including licensing, technology standards, pre-litigation analysis, and litigation itself, with high rates of success. We are looking for patent attorneys from all levels who are capable of handling maths-heavy technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, cryptography, and similar high-tech digital technologies. Successful candidates will have a background in mathematics, physics, computer science or engineering. Although qualification to PhD level is preferred, we will consider any candidate with a strong first or further degree who demonstrates the required skill and knowledge to handle these technologies.
