Evenings at Peligoni are a unique affair with something different happening each night; add to this a number of weddings during the low season, our Guest Chef series, wellness focused weeks and our annual House Party, we have a number of events to deliver over the course of the season.

We are looking for an experienced Events Floor Manager to take the lead in ensuring all of our weekly events are well prepared for and delivered to the high standard that our guests expect. They must have a commitment to the club’s ethos and the ability to support a team with varied experience and responsibilities in what can often be a high-pressure environment.

They will also work closely with our full time events team on the delivery of our Guest Chef Series and weddings – focusing on and preparing for all F&B aspects of the event and running the floor on the day. In addition to this, they will be also be an integral part of the team when it comes to delivering our Special Events weeks

The season kicks off with PACE – a week of wellness that balances fitness and mindfulness with feasts, creative workshops and social gatherings. It offers a chance for guests to unwind, relax and recharge whilst keeping the club’s spirit of a long lunch and a glass of rose by the sea very much intact.

We host a number of weekly events including our family barbeque and food festival nights: live music accompanies pop up food stalls where our chefs produce creative and tasty street food.

Throughout the low season we also host our Guest Chef Series. Now in it’s sixth year, accomplished chefs join us each week working directly with our kitchen team to showcase their talent and produce a delicious and exciting menu to dazzle foodie fans, staff and guests alike.

Towards the end of the season, we host our House Party – four days of sun filled revelry featuring live music, creative workshops and elaborate feasts. This is the highlight of our season and whilst an incredible amount of hard work is required, we enjoy it just as much as the guests.

In addition to this, we will be hosting a wedding almost every week of the low season, each a little different and not only involving the traditional wedding breakfast but also other events such as cocktail parties on the decks, intimate ceremonies in olive groves and daytime pool parties in one of our stunning guest villas.

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated and confident all-rounder with an impeccable attention to detail and a strong F&B background. This is a challenging but extremely rewarding role for those who thrive when given responsibility and gain satisfaction from being part of a team.

*Key Responsibilities*

*Weekly Club Events*

* Manage the delivery of weekly club events including the family barbeque, weekly ‘dinner party’ and food festival evening.

* Coordinate with the relevant departments ahead of time to ensure each team knows what is expected from them during the event

* Ensure the reception and guest relations team are fully briefed on all relevant events, including menus, prices and capacity targets.

* Ensure teams are well briefed ahead of each service on menus, specific guest requirements and any other relevant information

* Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests and ensure a consistently high level of service is delivered at all times

* Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally

* Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service

* Ensure all bills are settled correctly

* Ensure high levels of cleanliness and hygiene are met at all times, both front and back of house

* Ensure adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables for weekly events and manage orders and stock rotation

*Weddings & Other Events*

* Work alongside the events team to ensure all F&B aspects of a wedding and their associated events are prepared for in good time

* Ensure the events space is set-up, tables are laid and any other necessary preparations are carried out to the expected standard

* Be responsible for the delivery of all F&B aspects of a wedding on the day of the event.

* Direct and lead a team of waiting staff during service

* Work alongside the events team during PACE and House Party, and any other Special Events: helping with the set-up of individual events and running meal services

* Take responsibility for The Courtyard at all times, not only during an event, but also outside of these times ensuring the area is always looking its best 

* Encourage a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork

* Schedule shifts, working with the club’s restaurant managers to ensure you have the required staff for each event

* Club keyholder responsibilities including closing the club from time to time

* Proven track record in a similar role

* Attention to detail

* Strong leadership abilities, with a hands-on approach to managing a service

* Strong knowledge of food and beverage

* Effective communicator

* Excellent interpersonal skills and ‘guest-first’ approach

* Highly organised, pro-active and flexible

* Understanding of EPOS operating systems

* An up to date Basic Food Hygiene certificate

* A valid First Aid Certificate is desirable

* Full driving license is desirable
