As a Process Operator you will have responsibility for running the plant and also improving and sustaining results and standards for the equipment you own. You will do this by building your capability including focussing on breakthrough areas determined by highest levels of loss. Run the plant equipment and perform quality checks to the correct frequency.
Undertake basic plant maintenance and complete changeovers in accordance with plant needs.
Quality
Collect samples and conduct necessary quality checks in the lab.
Carry out & record quality checks and process data on InforMES, ensuring appropriate actions are taken when parameters are out of spec.

Additionally, we run a comprehensive program addressing various diversity topics to promote an inclusive workplace. Own and drive improvements on equipment within the pellet plant.

* Adhere to safety and quality standards and take personal responsibility for health and safety to achieve zero losses and safety incidents.

* Drive waste and losses to zero.

* Manage energy usage to achieve optimum efficiency.

* Maintain high standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping following our clean as you go policy.

* Record all stoppages using FMES (our IT system) and ensure issues are actioned/communicated to drive improvements in the plant.

* Ensure key information is effectively communicated to the next shift through the Shift Daily Direction Setting (SDDS) process.

Be willing to support in other areas of the factory where necessary

Be a team player who is proactive, enthusiastic, approachable and flexible in your daily tasks.

Ideally have GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English and have experience working in a food process manufacturing environment.

Have basic PC skills (including email and excel), Food Safety & Health and Safety Levels 2
