Reputable telecommunications firm looking for a hands-on Network Security Architect with extensive experience in Fortinet and the configuration of firewalls. You must have hands-on experience in producing HLD and LLD then building based on this documentation. You will be working as part of a very sociable team and given multiple projects to work on.Your new role - MUST HAVE EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE IN FORTINET. In this role, you will be tasked with strategic planning and making architectural decisions for security solutions. Provide technical expertise in security architecture within the Security Design team, offering escalation support for complex issues and addressing inherent design concerns when necessary. Hold Technical Design Authority (TDA) responsibility for security infrastructure, overseeing performance data, and implementing improvement programs. Serve as the lead security consultant for client's business units, delivering secure designs, and leading the implementation of new security infrastructure.
- Proactively monitor performance data, implement maintenance plans, and initiate improvement programs within agreed metrics.
- Address approved design weaknesses and authorise designs impacting security infrastructure.
- Maintain a product portfolio for approved security architecture, ensuring technical testing and benchmarking.
- Oversee testing of significant changes in the representative test environment for firewalls and other security architecture.
- Design security infrastructure aligned with the security architecture/framework, covering firewalls, Remote Access Solutions, and Authentication.
- Develop and maintain a short/long-term strategy for network security design.
- Collaborate with suppliers/vendors to ensure products/technologies meet specific security design requirements.
- Contribute to budget forecasting, supporting budget requests with well-defined business cases.
- Lead customers through security requirements gathering processes and provide expert security knowledge across various business groups.
What you'll need to succeed
- Excellent knowledge of Fortinet firewalls
- Understanding for the 3GPP Standards
- Extensive experience in the information security field.
- Possess a valid security qualification, e.g., CISSP.
- Specialised knowledge and hands-on experience with security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, and vulnerability management tools.
- Excellent working knowledge of TCP/IP.
- Familiarity with IP Networking Technologies such as, Routing protocols, IT Infrastructure, and Mobile Network Infrastructure.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex technical concepts.
