Head of Business Intelligence - South West
High growth digital technology company based in the South West now seeks to appoint a Head of Business Intelligence into a newly created role. With a strong background in commercial finance plus business intelligence, analytics and leadership, you’ll have led data driven initiatives to enhance the understanding of business performance.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director and a key member of the SLT, you’ll combine your financial acumen and passion for data analysis to drive, develop and implement data strategies to deliver actionable insights to the wider business. You’ll lead commercial finance and data analytics colleagues to combine different data sources (financial and non-financial) to ensure one version of business performance truth, offering critical insights to aid strategic decision making across the business. As a strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management techniques, you’ll influence colleagues at all levels of the organisation to aid their understanding of our business performance.
A deep understanding of business performance in order to lead the monthly Performance Insights sessions with the SLT
Able to articulately present headlines for performance monthly, to Exec and ELT, alongside key actions that need to be taken
Lead the process for annual Budget and reforecast, identifying key risks and opportunities
Identify and lead projects that enhance clarity of the business in order to identify performance opportunities: e.g. cost to serve, pricing optimisation
Likely a CIMA or ACA Qualified Accountant with 5+ years post qualification experience , you’ll bring s trong technical expertise in analytics tools and technologies, in particular PowerBI and SQL . Demonstrating effective stakeholder management , you’ll use your business p artnering experience to work alongside non-financial managers and leaders to engage with the business’ performance .
