About the job An exciting opportunity has arisen for the Technical Sales Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing the business development strategy in alignment with the company's 3-year business plan, focusing on the growth of existing customer relationships and the penetration of profitable new markets and customers within targeted sectors. Location

  • NW Total Engineering Solutions, Barrow-In-Furness, LA14 2UE
  • Travel to existing and new customers.
Salary * £40-60K, plus sales bonus Key responsibilities
  • Meet sales and growth targets in accordance with budget and forecast objectives.
  • Deliver sales and gross profit aligned with agreed business targets, while maximizing customer opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of market trends and identify new leads/ideas for sales and business development opportunities.
  • Identify potential business partners and explore new markets.
  • Foster growth in mature sales sectors and nurture emerging market sectors through a blend of sales, business development, and management efforts.
  • Support or lead proposals to ensure integration of key win themes into winning proposals.
  • Assist or lead post-tender presentations/negotiations as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide excellent service to both internal and external customers by understanding their needs, offering recommendations with integrity, and delivering superior solutions.
  • Address and resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.
  • Develop business relationships with stakeholders and identify growth opportunities to enhance the organization's market position.
  • Represent the business to key customers, fostering strong partnerships.
  • Manage long-term relationships between the business and customers, ensuring excellent customer service and monitoring service levels.
  • Support market analysis efforts and communicate significant activities within the business.
  • Provide up-to-date knowledge of the marketplace and competitors to inform business planning and communicate insights to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to meet customer needs effectively.
What you need for the role.
  • Proven track record in Sales conversion and on value-based selling.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and workload efficiently in a high-pressure environment, consistently meeting tight deadlines while delivering exceptional service.
  • Strong communication skills encompassing, verbal, presentation, and written proposal abilities.
  • Self-motivated and results driven individual.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the UK and occasionally overseas (if required)
