DevOps Engineer – Basingstoke (SC Cleared)

£500pd (Inside IR35)

Are you aspiring DevOps Engineer with experience in Infrastructure as Code who combines strong broad technical skills with an ability to design and automate, where possible, the deployment and configuration of products?

If so, currently hiring for a contractor for 6 months who has had an experience of working in technically multi-disciplined environments?

Required experience

  • A demonstrable understanding of the full Software Delivery Lifecycle
  • Has experience working closely with IT Operations, IT Development and IT Service teams to promote DevOps culture
  • Experience in working closely with customers
  • In depth understanding of continuous integration, continuous delivery, software configuration management, version control and release management.
  • Experience in provisioning cloud environments
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Availability to be on call out of hours on a rota basis

Technical Skills

You will have skills in several of the below key technologies

  • Rancher/Kubernetes
  • Ansible, Helm, Terraform/Linux
  • VMware/Elastic Stack (ELK/ECK)
  • Gitlab/GoLang scripting language
  • AWS

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of ITIL and IT Management systems, such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence
  • Automated testing tools
  • Agile project delivery & ceremonies
  • Storage solutions
