DevOps Engineer | Azure Service Bus | Kubernetes | CI/CD | Microsoft Azure

My client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with strong experience in Azure Service Bus and Kubernetes to join their DevOps Engineering team.


As an Azure DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for automating, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and applications using cutting-edge tools and platforms like Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure DevOps, and C#. You will play a pivotal role in optimising the CI/CD pipelines and supporting development teams in delivering scalable and reliable solutions in the cloud.

• Fully remote

• 6 months contract (March 31st)

• Inside IR35


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to automate the build, test, and deployment processes for cloud applications.
  • Manage and optimize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of containerized applications.
  • Collaborate with development teams to define and implement DevOps best practices, ensuring a smooth and efficient software delivery lifecycle.
  • Automate infrastructure deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and C# scripts, ensuring that infrastructure is consistent and repeatable.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud-based environments, ensuring uptime and reliability across applications and services.
  • Implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure and applications, including identity management, network security, and secret management.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (developers, architects, and QA) to identify and resolve bottlenecks in the deployment process and improve overall performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality infrastructure and deployment code.
  • Optimize and improve the performance of AKS clusters and CI/CD pipelines, introducing tools and processes to streamline operations.
  • Stay updated on the latest DevOps tools and Azure services to continuously enhance the infrastructure and operations environment.


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 5+ years of experience working with Azure DevOps and building automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), containerization, and orchestrating production workloads.
  • Proficiency in C# scripting and automating DevOps tasks using C#-based tools.
  • Solid understanding of containerisation using Docker and working with containerised workloads in Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep for automated infrastructure management.
  • Knowledge of Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Active Directory, and networking.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure high reliability of services.
