Role: Head of Machine Learning

Fully remote

Salary: £100,000

Equity after 1 year

The Role:

As the Head of Machine Learning, you will be a pioneer, building an AI team from scratch and defining the strategic direction for how we leverage AI within our educational platform. You'll wear many hats, from recruiting top talent to developing a robust AI infrastructure.

What You'll Do:

  • Craft a comprehensive vision for utilising machine learning to enhance their digital content platform
  • Lead the recruitment and development of a high-performing team of data scientists and machine learning engineers
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages experimentation and continuous learning.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models that address key business challenges
  • Ensure models are ethically sound, unbiased, and adhere to data privacy regulations.
  • Collaborate with product development and data teams to ensure AI solutions integrate seamlessly with their existing platform.

What You Bring:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience leading and managing a team of machine learning and data science professionals.
  • Proven track record of successfully designing, developing, and deploying impactful machine learning models in production environments.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
