The Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for the process and control of purchase ledgers, expenses and cash transactions within the company, including reconciliation of banks and supplier accounts. Key Responsibilities Complete multiple daily cashbooks in excel for all company bank accounts via Online Bank access. Process purchase ledger invoices for the group ensuring the company’s delegation of authority is followed. Communicate with internal staff for approval and coding of invoices via phone and email. Ensure all invoices received are processed via the appropriate systems, Cost Base system and Sage within the month to enable each ledger can close in line with the Finance timetable. Communicate with internal staff for approval and coding of invoices via phone and email. Undertake daily bank reconciliations to make sure all bank accounts are reconciled as per the month end timetable. Complete payments to suppliers using BACS and Faster Payment through online banking. Reconciliation of credit card statements to ensure all receipts are received and processed on Sage 200. Reconciliation of accounts against statements using Supplier Statement Reconciliation Template. Work on projects as identified by the business. Experience Experience of working within an accounts environment. Working Knowledge of Sage 200. Skills Excellent administration skills Ability to communicate at all levels Intermediate excel skills Discretion and confidentiality
