About the Client:

Our client, a leading automation manufacturing business specialising in automotive projects, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join their dynamic team.

Job Summary:

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of the company's facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive working environment. This role requires a proactive leader with a strong background in facilities management within an industrial or manufacturing setting, preferably with experience in the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilities Maintenance: Manage and coordinate all maintenance activities to ensure the facility and its equipment are fully operational. This includes preventative maintenance schedules, emergency repairs, and liaising with external contractors.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all facilities comply with health and safety regulations, conducting regular audits, risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or safety.
  • Project Management: Oversee facilities-related projects, including renovations, expansions, and installations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required specifications.
  • Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably from a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven experience in the automotive industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully managing complex projects.

Although this role is primarily based in Coventry, travel to their other sites across the UK will be required.
