Originally spun out from the University of Cambridge, we specialize in helping researchers find their most critical cells. Leveraging our picodroplet microfluidic technology, we offer high-throughput solutions for single cell isolation and analysis across various applications, including biologics discovery, cell engineering, and synthetic biology. The company is growing quickly, and we are looking to take on a Quality Control (QC) Technician to support the Operations team. The Technician will assist the QC Manager with a variety of laboratory based tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures and high quality standards. This role will be mostly laboratory based, alongside write up of reports, certificates, and other quality based documents. The role will also provide support to the wider Operations team and other areas of the business on an ad-hoc basis.
 
The QC Technician will perform QC checks on all the consumables in order to meet the demand of our customers and internal teams. A structured approach to their work is important, as is excellence adherence to procedures, high quality standards, and Health & Safety. Performing all standard QC tasks within the lab, developing into a subject matter expert. 
Working to high quality standards and following SOPs. 
Culturing and monitoring of QC cell cultures. 
Helping to develop and validate protocols for new products.
Analysing data on any variations between results, and producing hypotheses. 
Laboratory skills such as PCR, microscopy, and cell culturing. 
Knowledge of PCR and Gel electrophoresis.
Good understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
Presenting data, KPI’s and other updates in weekly meetings is desirable. 
Experience in microfluidics, specifically droplet PCR is desirable.
