Responsibilities for Design Manager: Take the lead responsibility on the management & delivery of design information from DFE to delivery on site working to contractual & programme & delivery schedule. Provide technical expertise to assess, mitigate and manage risk regarding design & financial risks during construction. Attending and chairing design meetings Ensuring design & delivery meet health and safety legislation and building standards. Requirements for the Design Manager: Background and proven track record as a Design Manager working for a principal contractor and within the Department of Education. An architectural background (ARB/RIBA qualified or Technologist.
