**Solution Designer - Software Development - Cheshire - Hybrid - 6 months**

Our client, a market leading multi-national technology company are looking for a**Solution Designer**, to join them in**Knutsford.**The assignment is an initial **6 - month** contract and can offer a competitive daily rate.

**Role Overview**:
This is an exciting time as we support large scale client transformation across a wide range of technologies. In this crucial role as a **Solution Designer**, you'll work with our client's team supporting one of their largest clients globally.

**Responsibilities to Include**:

- Design solution in line with architecture while working closely with stakeholders from technology, infrastructure, testing, architects and Project Management teams.
- Take responsibility in ensuring that design adheres to architectural and quality standards and policies set by the organisation.
- Provide technical direction and guidance to the colleagues to implement secured and optimised solution.
- Provide consultancy as and when required to the stakeholders on technical matters.
- Translating logical designs into physical designs taking account of target environment, performance requirements, existing systems and any potential safety-related aspects
- Documenting all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate. Providing guidance to development team members as required.
- Identifying, owning and resolving design related issues as they arise during the project lifecycle.
- Identify and incorporate security to all designs, confirming to security policies and industry best practice.

**Key accountabilities**
- Prepare system design to meet project requirements while adhering to architectural guidelines, quality standards and policies.
- Perform thorough impact assessment of proposed change.
- Rationalise between different design options and define pros and cons based on functional, non-functional and operational viewpoint.
- Identify and raise technical or infrastructural or operational risks with appropriate stakeholders.
- Advice and Guidance
- Work with the relevant project manager and Solutions Architect to contribute towards end to end design rather than looking only at project/delivery scope at hand.
- Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders in shaping the project delivery.
- Maintain detailed awareness of various standards for practices, tools and their reporting mechanisms.
- Monitor all applicable productivity matrices for development, tooling and deployment.
- Assist tech lead and delivery manager during defect resolution, potential workaround discussions etc.
- Guide and assist team in complying and superseding various benchmarks set by organisation.
- What we're looking for:

- Proficient with designing Cloud solutions, especially AWS.
- IT Architecture - Familiar with integration and implementation issues and their, architectural implications. Excellent understanding of best practice architectural and design methods with proven innovative and leading edge thinking (e.g. Domain Driven Architecture,building for resilience, scalability, performance, etc.).
- Technical Knowledge - a very good broad understanding of a wide variety of technologies pertinent to our client, including endpoint security, Network security and emerging technologies.
- Appreciation of different Infrastructure patterns.
- IT Security patterns, considerations, best practice?
