Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our clients growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and expanding our market presence. You will play a crucial role in promoting our comprehensive security solutions, working closely with clients to understand their needs, and delivering tailored solutions that ensure the safety and security of their assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and target new business opportunities across various sectors, including government, banking, retail, and the private sector. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our market share.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients. Understand their unique security challenges and work with them to provide customised solutions that meet their needs.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and competitive products. Use insights to inform business strategies and product development.
- Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals, quotations, and presentations to potential clients. Collaborate with the technical team to ensure all client requirements are accurately addressed.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of our product offerings, including security screens, security doors, speed gates, and automated entrance controls. Stay informed about industry advancements and regulatory changes that may impact our clients.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and technical support, to ensure client needs are met and projects are successfully delivered.
- Sales Reporting: Track and report on sales performance, client interactions, and market activities. Provide regular updates to senior management and contribute to forecasting and strategic planning.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the security, construction, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of security products and solutions, particularly in areas such as automated entrance control, security screens, and secure doors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Experience in managing complex sales cycles and delivering tailored solutions to clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory if supported by relevant experience.
