Business and Sales Analyst

My client is a leading manufacturing business who has their head office in Thorne, north of Doncaster, easily accessible from the M18. Due to internal movement, they are recruiting someone who can comfortably work on MS Excel as Business and Sales Analyst, and who can support the sales and operations team analysing and presenting data to colleagues and senior leaders within the business.

The Business and Sales Analyst position requires someone who can create sales data using MS Excel, including looking at and analysing product ranges to see which products are their better selling ranges and support the sales team with up to date information to increase business revenue. As well as analysing the data you will need the confidence to present these findings via MS PowerPoint.

This position is a stand-alone role, reporting into the Operations Manager, and would suit a graduate with a years’ experience within industry, who has some commercial acumen, and who can work easily with MS Office.

The benefits of the Business and Sales Analyst include:

  • Salary up to £28,000 depending on experience
  • 8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday hours
  • 23 days holiday + bank holidays, to increase to 25 days

The duties of the Business and Sales Analyst include:

  • Using MS Excel to an intermediate level (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and IF statements)
  • Sales and demand forecasting
  • Reporting to the team using MS PowerPoint
  • Creating short, medium, and long term data for the sales team
  • Identifying key trends within the market
  • Customer sales analysis
  • Supporting the sales team with business data
  • Any other ad hoc duty

The ideal Business and Sales Analyst will have:

  • Excellent MS Office skills including MS Excel
  • Preferably some experience working within a sales environment
  • The ability to liaise with team members and present data
  • Ideally data management / analyst experience
