Are you an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with a specialisation in ADHD? The Oakdale Group, a renowned not-for-profit organisation, is establishing a Prescribing Service dedicated to individuals diagnosed with ADHD. We are searching for a passionate professional to join our team

Our services include specialist assessments for autism, ADHD, and developmental trauma, as well as psychological therapies for clients commissioned by the NHS, Local Authorities, schools, and the general public.
*The Role:*
Oakdale is establishing a new Prescribing Service dedicated to children and adults diagnosed with ADHD. Oakdale has recently passed registration with the CQC to deliver this service. In this pivotal role, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with a specialisation in ADHD within Oakdale's neurodevelopmental pathway. There is huge scope to lead this service and grow it from scratch. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to come in with their own ideas and lots of innovation to consider how best to design the service within guidelines, quality practices, governance and with recognition to the great demands and high volumes of work for this type of service.
As a Psychiatrist, you will play a critical role in medication prescribing, reviews, diagnosis, and treatment for service users with ADHD. Our team is dedicated to addressing the needs of individuals who have faced extensive waiting times for neurodevelopmental assessment. Your primary responsibility will be to provide expert psychiatric care, initiate medication regimens, and offer ongoing monitoring and support to optimise the well-being and functioning of our clients.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide specialist assessment and intervention for ADHD.
* Write and review prescriptions in line with NICE guidance.
* Coordinate medication management and support its transition to primary care.
* Contribute to governance, audit, and data reporting.
*Person Specification (Essential):*
* Consultant Psychiatrist with relevant experience in ASD and ADHD.
* Full GMC Registration.
* Current MRCPsych status.
* Legal right to work in the UK.
* Enhanced DBS check.
* Competency in using IT systems.
* Effective risk management and delegation skills.
