My client is currently looking for a Project Accountant to join on a permanent basis for an exciting new opportunity. The job role:

Our client, a leader in the defence sector, is seeking an experienced Accountant with Project experience to join their dynamic team. This is a permanent position, ideal for professionals who are passionate about finance and seeking to make a significant impact within a vital industry.

Main responsibilities

  • Managing financial control within projects to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Conducting detailed forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Collaborating with various teams to support financial planning and project delivery
  • Providing financial insights and advice to project managers and other stakeholders
  • Maintaining compliance with financial policies and guidelines
  • Ensuring timely and accurate accounting and reconciliation of project finances
  • Presenting financial data and reports to senior management

We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • Some experience in project accounting within the finance sector
  • Strong financial control and accounts management skills
  • Proficiency in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Qualification as a part-qualified, QBE, or fully qualified accountant
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resilient and outward-facing approach with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities

The role will be hybrid working from the office in Maidenhead 3 days per week and my client is offering a salary of £50K - £55K with the following benefits:

  • Flexible working hours with a 1pm finish on a Friday
