We are ramping up our programme support and working closely with our customer in the aerospace industry. We're searching for Senior Mechanical Design Engineers to join our team
Design and improve aircraft products.
Manage teams working on aircraft product designs.
Lead mechanical design team and act as the primary communication point with customers and suppliers.
Develop complex design concepts, BOMs, and detailed aircraft product components.
Ensure design integration meets customer/airframe regulatory requirements.
Validate design deliverables throughout the product lifecycle.
Lead design reviews and ensure timely delivery of engineering milestones.
Apply processes and methods for product design, including change management, design optimisation, DFMEA, GD&T, and design for manufacture.
Manage and control daily attendance, holidays, and absence for the team.
Coach, mentor, and develop less experienced design engineers.

Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft interiors.
Proven track record of projects with airlines, airframe manufacturers, or aircraft interior OEMs.
Qualified in Mechanical/Aerospace/Structural Engineering (degree or equivalent).
Highly proficient in CATIA V5 and PLM Systems.
Ability to plan and schedule design activities across multiple modules.
Understanding of tolerances and manufacturing processes.
Experience with sheet metal fabrication, plastics vacuum forming, and CNC machining.
Ability to read mechanical design drawings and specifications.
Desirable: Experience in project management, team supervision, working on Aircraft specifications, new model introduction, and design signatory status.
