Senior Quality Coach – London

£45k- £60k

We are thrilled to be partnering with a scale-up in the tech for good space to find their second Senior Quality Coach. This role is critical in ensuring that the company’s ESG products deliver an excellent user experience, whilst baking good quality engineering processes from the very start.

This role is that of a manual tester, so alongside excellent technical skills, you should be comfortable transitioning them to a more creative and exploratory testing mindset.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensure the team's output is comprehensively tested and meets quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineers to guide test coverage for tickets, ensuring test cases and acceptance criteria are well-defined and comprehensive.
  • Conduct exploratory testing to uncover defects outside the scope of scripted tests.
  • Run manual regression tests to ensure that the application delivers the best user experience.
  • Perform static testing of documentation to ensure requirements and specifications are high-quality and defect-free.

The company works on a hybrid model, with an expectation to spend at least one day per week in the London office. However, flexibility is available, and attendance can be reduced to once per month depending on location or personal circumstances.

Ideal Candidate :

  • 3+ years of experience manually testing web-based, mobile, and desktop applications
  • Comfortable across the whole stack, not just UI testing -experience testing RESTful APIs is beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to ensuring high standards of quality
  • Given the coaching nature of the role, excellent communication skills and a collaborative, respectful approach is essential
  • Adaptable, energetic, and ambitious, with a start-up mentality
  • A deep understanding of QA processes and their implementation.
