United Kingdom The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education Full time

Location: We offer employees the opportunity to work flexibly from home, providing it is within the UK. Our Head Office is based in Gloucester.

Hours: 35 hours per week, flexible working available

This is an exciting time to join an organisation with an essential role in the UK's tertiary education sector.

We are a world-leading quality agency with unmatched experience of providing impartial regulatory and collaborative quality assurance and enhancement. We support universities and colleges in working with students and learners, governments, funders and regulatory bodies to evidence and enhance the excellent quality and high standards of the education they provide.

We work towards a greater public understanding - domestically and internationally - of how excellent quality is demonstrated in UK higher education, and how autonomous providers both assure its delivery and address weaknesses. Our work safeguards the value of qualifications for students and learners, and protects and promotes the reputation of higher education.

About the role

We are looking for a committed, flexible and creative quality assurance professional to contribute to the development, delivery and management of QAA's accreditation, review and international functions in line with QAA's strategy. This position plays an active role in the delivery of QAA's accreditation and international services (including International Quality Review, International Programme Accreditation, Bespoke Review and system-level international projects), working with the Head of Accreditation and Consultancy and other Quality Specialists to develop and deliver the international project portfolio.

About you

We are looking for someone experienced in delivering quality assurance projects for international clients, ideally within a higher education environment. The candidate will have experience of assuring academic standards and quality in a senior capacity, successfully implementing strategy and policy in an international context, and managing projects and contributing to activities to an agreed specification, and implementing long-term organisation strategy and budget.

More information about this role can be found in the job description. If you would like an informal conversation with Chris Bland, Head of Accreditation and Consultancy, please contact careers@qaa.ac.uk

Closing date for applications is 30 September 2024.

To apply, please create a profile on our recruitment portal and submit your CV with a covering letter outlining your experience and interest in the role. Only applications which include a CV and cover letter will be considered for the role.

Many of our employees work flexibly in different ways, including part-time and compressed hours. Please let us know about the flexibility you need in your application.

QAA recognises the positive benefits of equity, diversity and inclusion. Our aim is to be truly representative of all sections of society, and for employees to feel respected, free to be themselves no matter what their identity or background, and able to give their best.
