My client is an East London school, part of larger and supportive Multi Academy Trust.
A rare opportunity has arisen for someone currently working as a finance officer (or similar role) within a school, who is looking to take a step forward into a broader School Business Management position.
Whilst finance remains the core part of the role (ensuring that financial transactions are managed in a timely fashion, to include the full invoicing cycle, income and expenditure reporting and budget management) with the support of the Head, on site support team and the trust’s central team, the role will also have involvement with HR, administration and premises.
Applicants will have sound experience of financial management and budgetary responsibilities, gained from within a school environment, with strong IT skills. Key to this position is someone who is eager to learn and build on their finance skills in the other support areas, with the ambition to grow into a business manager role. You’ll need to have good communication skills and enjoy working within a close knit, community focused school.
The role is offered as a permanent, term time plus 2 weeks to be agreed during the holidays.
