We are looking for someone who is creative, driven, and passionate about making a difference. The ideal candidate will have Fundraising Experience Experience in fundraising, sponsorship development, or grant writing is highly desirable. Communication Skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to craft compelling proposals and engage stakeholders effectively. Networking Abilities A talent for building and maintaining relationships with donors, sponsors, and community members. Negotiation Skills Confidence in pitching ideas and negotiating agreements with potential sponsors and partners. Strategic Thinking A solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to think creatively about fundraising opportunities. Organisation Strong project management skills Availability & Commitment Requirement We require volunteers who can commit adequate time, follow through on assigned tasks, and remain actively engaged throughout their involvement . Before applying, please ensure that You can commit a minimum of 1–3 hours per week You are able to attend scheduled meetings, planning sessions, and team check-ins You are prepared to contribute steadily over a minimum period of 3–6 months You have the capacity to deliver assigned tasks on time with professionalism To maintain continuity and uphold programme quality, volunteers who are unable to meet these availability and engagement requirements may be discontinued after the first three weeks. What will you be doing? As a Fundraising Champion, you’ll take the lead in designing and implementing strategies that attract funding and partnerships. Your responsibilities will include Fundraising Campaigns Develop creative and impactful campaigns to raise awareness and funds for Connecting Stories. Use innovative approaches to engage donors, including digital campaigns, crowdfunding, and community events. Sponsorships and Partnerships Research and identify potential sponsors, donors, and partners who align with our mission. Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders, demonstrating the value of supporting Connecting Stories. Create sponsorship proposals and pitch ideas to potential partners. Grant Applications and Donor Proposals Assist in identifying grant opportunities that match our goals. Write compelling and persuasive grant applications and donor proposals that highlight our impact. Ensure all submissions are tailored, well-researched, and aligned with funder priorities. Impact Reporting Collaborate with the team to measure the impact of our programmes and translate this into data and stories for donors and sponsors. Provide regular updates to stakeholders, showcasing how their contributions make a difference. Community Engagement Organise and support fundraising events to engage the wider community. Foster relationships with individuals, businesses, and organisations to build a network of long-term supporters.
