CK Group are recruiting for a Development Chemist to join a global materials manufacturing company based in Alfreton, on a full time, permanent basis offering a salary upto £35,000 per annum depending on experience with working hours, 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm on Fridays. The Company: Our client is one of the country's leading suppliers and manufacturers of solvent and water based products. Location: This role is located in Alfreton. Your main duties will involve: Development of new products to customer requirements, to include making lab scale blends and testing product performance and stability, and recording all results clearly. Preparing lab samples for customer approval. Improvement of current products by re-formulation. Testing of alternative raw materials in current products. Competitor product analysis. QA of raw materials arriving on-site. Assisting with QA of finished products, to include testing properties such as pH, viscosity, foam and colour, recording results, assisting with re-works when required, and maintaining retained sample storage. Your Background: The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and experience: Experience in development of blended chemical products.
