Job Title: Site Engineer

Location: Guildford

working with a leading construction company specializing in civil engineering. We are committed to delivering high-quality projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Site Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing day-to-day engineering duties on-site, including setting out and interpreting reinforced concrete (RC) drawings accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and implement engineering designs and drawings, particularly reinforced concrete (RC) drawings.
  • Set out and mark positions for structures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  • Liaise with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct site surveys and measurements as required.
  • Monitor construction progress and quality, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to site personnel as needed.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in setting out and interpreting reinforced concrete (RC) drawings.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Total Station, and GPS.
