Objectives & Requirements:
- Responsible for technical oversight of systems engineering activities throughout a project/programme lifecycle.
- Capture and interpret user needs and translate to systems requirements/requirements management.
- Conduct system engineering design review activities using outputs from relevant engineering teams.
- Ensure technical solutions meet customer, legislative, and business requirements.
- Responsible for design reviews and approvals at key stages of the lifecycle.

- Requirements Specifications
- Design Documents
- Interface Specifications and Acceptance Tests
- Approval of design change requests and concessions.
- Identify and resolve qualification, certification, and safety issues.
- Oversee system-level testing and system integration, including formal testing.
- Support risk identification and mitigation activities.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers as appropriate.
- Coach and mentor other engineers.
- Batchelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant STEM subject, with an appropriate level of systems engineering experience and capability; relatable to level of role applied for.
- Self-motivated, adaptable to change, proactive and with good leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Experience/understanding of whole systems lifecycle engineering within a defence, aerospace or similarly regulated engineering environment.
- Knowledge of systems engineering best practices, methodologies, processes and tools.
- Knowledge of DOORS, as well as, ideally, working in a Waterfall/Agile environment.
- Design experience within an appropriate branch of engineering (systems, electronic, software, mechanical, or electrical).
- Salary c£45k - c£70k DOE.
- Excellent benefits package, pension, health cover, and company bonus.
- Relocation assistance can be provided.
