About The Role The Data & Analytics team lead will lead a small team of highly skilled technology and data professionals this is responsible for delivering, managing, & maintaining the Cala data analytics environment. Your focus will be on delivering value for our internal and external customers by providing data insights through an understanding how our processes and systems work, and our customer needs. You will also contribute to building out our data roadmap and vision, and developing a data driven culture across the business.

Key Responsibilities / Deliverables: Lead and line manage the data analytics team, including their career development aligned to the D&A strategy. Manage the data analytics environment including ETLs, Azure data warehouse, and data analysis and reporting toolsets. Collaborating across all parts Cala to gain fresh perspectives and ideas while also being an evangelist for adopting data driven approaches and associated systems. Building, maintaining, and prioritising a team backlog by writing user stories that include with clear acceptance and testing criteria. Participate in planning, testing, sprint demos, and retrospectives. Developing deep subject matter expertise to allow you to think like a customer to help problem solve and generate new data insights. Consistently communicating with customers (internal and external) to understand what they do and the challenges they face.

About You Acting as a Product Owner using agile methodologies to create, plan, prioritise, and deliver user stories. Leading and developing a small highly skilled team of technology & data professionals. Experience of Microsoft Azure data service offerings and managing Azure environments. Experience of logical data modelling and physical schema implementation. Proficient in data engineering and analysis tools e.g. Python, SQL. Experience in creating reporting and data insights through Power BI or equivalent data visualisation tools. Ability to apply advanced problem-solving techniques, including machine learning, to drive action through key data insights and effective stakeholder communication. Ability to learn and adopt new and emerging technologies to deliver business benefit. Knowledge of graph databases is desirable.
