OSL Consulting Engineers are the consulting team of nexos, the only fully integrated and most digitally advanced Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) provider in the UK. A new breed of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) provider that is turning next-gen energy into operational reality, through innovative solutions, partnerships and problem solving. We are seeking experienced Piping Designers to join our multidiscipline Engineering team on a contract basis. The role will report into to our Lead Piping Engineer and will work on a specific FEED Project with the option to extend into detailed design. Our ideal individuals will have previous experience of working at Senior Designer level on projects within the chemical and or pharmaceutical industries. Previous experience of FEED is essential. Strong experience in 3D modelling with the use of Autocad Plant 3D or PDMS. We operate a hybrid working week with three days per week spent in our project office based in Hessle, East Yorkshire. Responsibilities: Preparing design drawings and documents from engineering data and specifications in accordance with project, company, client standards and procedures. Generating 3D models and piping design using Autocad Plant 3D. Preparation and checking of all piping design deliverables such as piping GAs, nozzle orientations, Isometrics, pipe support drawings, piping MTO, Tie-in schedule, nozzle connections, mechanical details etc. Review of P&ID and civil/structural, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation drawings. Ensuring job tasks are correctly performed in compliance with agreed budget and schedule. Thorough awareness of international codes and standards for piping design. Consistently maintaining a high level of technical deliverables, ensuring that the output meets our QMS standard and is consistent in terms of quality and content.
