Role Summary:
Our client, a leading company in the automotive industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Specialist to join their team based in Crewe. As the Data Governance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and proper management of our client's data assets. Your expertise in data governance principles and best practises will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining effective data governance policies and processes.
Responsibilities:
- for the creation and continual improvement of data governance policies and processes.
- and maintain data governance across our client's organisation, ensuring governed access to accurate and authoritative "single source of truth" data sets.
- data quality and Master Data Management, fostering a data-driven and trustworthy environment.
- responsibilities for Data Stewards and ensure their effectiveness in the role.
- the data lifecycle process, including archiving and retention policies.
- an effective Data Council as the key cross-functional decision-making and steering forum for all data governance topics.
- with CDO, CISO, and DPO to ensure alignment on data governance and security principles.
- as the Local Master Data Manager, responsible for the overall master data strategy and roadmap.
- master data harmonisation and the implementation of the master data strategy.
- comprehensive methods, procedures, and guidelines for master data governance.
- and maintain a data catalogue tool.
- data governance education and training to the Bentley data community.
- with functional data champions/leaders/advocates to support their strategies.
- with external experts and the Group data office.
Requirements:
- demonstrable experience in data governance, master data management, and data cataloguing processes.
- knowledge of programming languages such as Python.
- with Modern Data Stack/architecture and cutting-edge tools.
- numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- coaching others in data governance and related skills.
- qualification in data governance/Master Data Management or equivalent experience.
- in Data Science or a related discipline.
