Clevedon Somerset, United Kingdom DAS UK Group Full time

About The Role

Due to an exciting period of growth, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Paralegal to join our friendly Legal Advice team in our Bedwas office. In this interesting and varied role, the successful candidate will be handling legal queries from customers on a range of areas. This will entail establishing the facts of the customer's legal issues, providing advice on the applicable law and setting out the legal and/or practical options available to the customer whilst reviewing sources of funding and alternative resolution solutions.

We are looking for individuals who have a passion for going the extra mile to ensure good customer outcomes, and it is key that you can demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

The ideal candidate will be able to pro-actively identify both issues and potential solutions, take ownership of the process, and follow the correct process to resolve any concerns that may be raised by customers in a timely manner. You will be personable, enjoy working in a team environment and motivated to go the extra mile for our customers.

Whilst extremely rewarding, due to the nature of our customers' concerns the role can occasionally be challenging and candidates should be resilient and motivated to provide a high quality performance in what can be a busy environment.

About You

• Legal Executive, LPC/BVC/LLB graduate (or currently studying)
• Good practical and/or academic knowledge of Employment, Property, Consumer Law as well as the ability to learn and advise on other legal issues affecting customers such as Family, Wills and Probate, Landlord and Tenant and Commercial Law.
• Concise and honest manner, whilst ensuring sensitivity and empathy to both customer and business partners.

As a team we are passionate and enthusiastic about what we do. Our people are encouraged to think independently and to take ownership of their work. You will be agile in the way that you work and adaptable to change. In return for your commitment we will offer you generous remuneration and an attractive benefits package, including:

• 25 days holiday
• Company pension scheme
• The option to join our Sports and Social club which organises discounted events such
as theatre visits and shopping trips
• Progressive career pathway and development opportunities
• Employee reward and incentive scheme
• Group Income Protection for all employees
• Group Legal Protection for all employees
• A choice of either European Motor Assistance or Home Emergency Assistance
• Inclusion in our Health Cash plan
• Salary sacrifice benefits including Cycle scheme

Whilst this is a full-time position, at DAS we want to support our people to achieve a work-life balance that works for them. We support flexible working and are happy to discuss flexible working options.

If you think you would be a good match for this role and can demonstrate some transferable experience please apply, regardless of whether you meet all the criteria listed above.
