FDM is a global business and tech consultancy seeking a Data Governance Manager to work for our client. This is an initial 6-month contract.
As a Data Governance Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the data governance framework across the organisation. This role ensures that data is managed as a strategic asset, enabling improved data quality, accessibility, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Data Governance Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish policies, standards, and procedures that support data management goals.

Comprehensive understanding of data protection regulations, particularly the data-sharing components of the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
Experience in advising on a variety of projects in different development stages, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and standards
Ability to prioritise and manage projects with varying degrees of urgency
Experience in working with various departments to implement and continuously improve data policies, procedures, and standards
Ability to ensure that data users understand their responsibilities, departmental policies, procedures, and standards
Developing and conducting training sessions for colleagues to enhance understanding of data governance practices
Competence in using Microsoft products, including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
