This is not a term time only role. The role is for 52.14 working weeks per year including 27 days (Full Time Equivalent) Holiday Entitlement which will be calculated to include continuous service if applicable.

Ensuring the workforce has the skills and understanding needed to effectively support these children and maximising opportunities for early intervention
Working across Essex, the Early Years Early Intervention Partner role will contribute to the delivery of this strategy working in partnership with the early years sector. Ensuring effective inclusive early education, which is responsive to individual need. The role will have a specific focus on improving outcomes for children who may be experiencing delay in their development, which may have been caused by a lack of access to age related experiences and / or opportunities
Facilitating effective partnership across the Early Years System across the County between all relevant ECC Education teams and key external partners to achieve this

Specific individual and shared targets and objectives are defined annually within the performance management framework.
Accountable for providing an informed perspective in relation to child development, to ensure pre-school aged children, who are at risk of poor social, communication and delayed independence outcomes, are supported effectively through high quality provision.
Lead the analysis and use of relevant data sets and use it to identify key cohorts of children at risk of poor outcomes and responsible for developing appropriate interventions and tailored support
Responsible for the evaluation of the impact of interventions for individual children, group interventions and training as well as identifying next steps
Responsible for gathering further insight into the pressures facing the early years sector to feed into the strategic planning to support any necessary development and / or design of services
Taking a lead to upskill early years providers and childminders, to provide them with the early intervention skills needed to support children through high quality practice and targeted provision that should be Ordinarily Available, therefore improving the identification of needs at the earliest opportunity
Support the implementation of the Balanced System, the Inclusion Framework and the Ordinarily Available model within the Essex Early Years system
Sign-post early years settings to appropriate support and resources at pre statutory levels
Work strategically with the early years sector, influencing early years leaders to evaluate their existing practice and build capacity through coaching, training and mentoring to deliver suitable early learning experiences to support children who may have missed out on key experiences and opportunities in their early development
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Degree or equivalent qualification and / or extensive equivalent experience
Evidence of continuing professional development and expert knowledge in relevant professional area
Sound knowledge and understanding of the factors that lead to improvement in positive outcomes for pre-school aged children
Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and the role communication and language plays in early child development
Extensive experience of working in partnership with key partners, such as early years settings, childminders, health providers, social care and the Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service Family Hubs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce reports to inform strategic planning and deliver training, coaching and mentoring to a range of professionals
