London, United Kingdom Marriott Full time

As a key member of the EMEA Compensation and Benefits Team, the Director of Compensation and Benefits, EMEA will lead critical projects across the continent, focusing on areas such as pay transparency, job evaluation, and the automation and integration of core compensation and benefits programs into our HRIS solution. This includes overseeing the technical enablement of the annual compensation cycles, incentives, benefits, market benchmarking, and job architecture processes.

The Director will play a key role in shaping the strategy, design, and development of Marriott's compensation and benefits transformation, helping the company attract and retain top talent. Working closely with Human Resources, technology teams, and corporate Centers of Excellence (CoE), the Director will ensure compensation and benefits solutions are aligned with HR objectives and business strategy.

Additionally, this role will collaborate with HR teams across regions to ensure alignment and partner with external organizations to bring in best practices. The aim is to drive more efficient, market-driven compensation and benefits decisions that promote internal equity, external competitiveness, and compliance with applicable regulations and policies.

  3. Drive improvements in pay decisions across the continent by developing the capabilities, processes, and tools needed to empower HR business partners, ensuring they integrate both external and internal equity into every pay decision.
  4. Lead initiatives to evolve compensation and benefits processes and integrate them with our HRIS solution, maximizing the value of Marriott’s existing technology to optimize compensation and benefits management for all stakeholders.
  5. Within the EMEA Total Rewards CoE, review and refine programs and processes to drive further automation, ensuring that the CoE's efforts are directed toward activities that deliver maximum value to both stakeholders and associates.
  6. Act as the guardian and ambassador of compensation and benefits data quality, refining existing processes to ensure HR partners achieve a tangible return on investment from updating system information—leveraging powerful analytics and optimizing the time they spend on compensation and benefits matters.
  7. Provide compensation consulting expertise to support customers at all levels in the organization in making informed compensation decisions. Independently provide data driven analyses to bring effectiveness, accuracy and efficiency of compensation programs.
  8. Collaborate with HR to identify and scope a variety of compensation projects through the development and implementation process. Develop project plans, timelines and resource needs. Manage project milestones and project plans by working and coordinating with key stakeholders. Present findings to leadership and partner with various stakeholders to provide solutions and resolve complex project issues.
