This is a great opportunity for a Head of Security to join our inclusive organisation, contributing to the regeneration and development of an important part of East London. You will be the subject matter expert for the organisation and responsible for the development and implementation of robust security and safety strategies for the LLDC, with particular focus on arrangements across the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, including Counter terrorism preparedness, Community safety, Stakeholder management, and interaction with venues and events.
Working within a diverse multi-disciplinary team, your role will be varied, including developing, and implementing a robust visitor focused security strategy, working with the Metropolitan Police and the organisation’s security contractor. You will also Develop and manage the delivery of the security programme for the Park, including responsibility for engaging and ensuring that all security personnel working across the park work within the agreed LLDC strategy.
You will be an effective communicator and understand the importance of keeping different stakeholders informed and engaged, quickly building credibility and trust with them.

The salary for this post is £86,637 per annum, LLDC operates a performance-based incremental pay scale.
Upon successful completion of the probation period, confirmation of employment will be given and the notice period will be three months.
This is proposed as a full-time post working 37 hours per week, although this post will be considered for flexible working.
All employees are eligible to join our pension scheme, which is provided by the Local Government Pension Scheme.
Annual leave entitlement is 32 days per year, plus bank holidays, pro-rata for part-time employees. To align with the LLDC objectives, we offer 3 fully compensated volunteer days (pro-rata for part-time employment) providing all staff with the opportunity to serve the community in which they live in.
LLDC will provide employees with an interest-free loan to purchase a season ticket for travel to and from work. LLDC employees are eligible for a discounted gym membership at the Copper Box Arena and the London Aquatics Centre. Employees can enjoy the use of both state-of-the-art gyms and swimming facilities for £15 per month.
LLDC offers employees a loan of up to £1000 to purchase a bike and equipment through our cycle to work partner.
