Area Sales Manager

South London, Surrey, Sussex, Kent and Hampshire

Up to £50k d.o.e +Company Car + bonus

South Thames region

THE ROLE : As an Account Manager within the South Thames region you will spend your time building relationships and identifying project specifications with M&E Contractors, as well as managing and growing the wholesaler relationships within your region. You will be selling a range of industrial, commercial and emergency lighting products with a big focus on industrial end user customers. Candidates with experience in lighting, cabling or associated electrical products will do very well. Candidates working with or for electrical wholesalers should also apply as full training and support will be given. Working as part of a close knit and hard working sales team, you will be given autonomy and ownership in the role. Support and advice is on hadnf rom an experienced leadership team. The position will require you to demonstrate your understanding of strong territory organisation and customer management, upselling and cross selling as well as looking to bring onboard new wholesalers. Key to success in this role is a proven track record of sales and strong sales process with effective communication techniques. Candidates need a good mix of hunter and account manager mentality as there is lots of growth potential here.

THE COMPANY : Growing manufacturer and distributor of lighting solutions. A family run business established in the 1980s in the East Midlands with a good name in the market and some great ideas for the future. The business offers sales people technical courses and support if needed and the focus is on a united team with 2 whole company social events hosted every year.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

· 2 years or more working in field or branch sales within lighting or electrical sector

· Understanding of M&E Contractors or Electrical Distributors is a bonus

· Ability to manage a pipeline of projects and long sales cycle is desirable

· An organised, driven and professional salesperson with good attention to detail

· Organised, structured and sales focused individual

Salary: up to £50,000 basic salary, plus up to £10k OTE, company car, mobile, laptop,
